Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and Joshua Israel Ventures LLC ("we", "us", "our"). NamedScan is a brand of Joshua Israel Ventures LLC. It is not a separate company. When you use namedscan.com, run a free preview, or buy a report or a monthly plan, your contract is with Joshua Israel Ventures LLC. By using the site or buying from us, you agree to these terms.

The service

NamedScan checks whether ChatGPT, with live web search, names a business when people ask the kinds of questions customers ask, and reports who is named instead along with a list of suggested fixes. On the Done For You and Growth plans, we also work on the signals described on the home page, such as listings, website content and structured data. What each product includes is described on the pricing section of the home page.

General information only

Our website content, free previews, reports and recommendations are for general information only. They are not legal, financial, or professional marketing advice. You decide what to do with them, and you may want to consult a qualified professional before making business decisions.

No guarantee of results

We do not guarantee that ChatGPT or any other AI assistant or search engine will mention, rank, or recommend your business, or that you will get more customers, traffic, or revenue. AI answers vary and change over time, and nobody outside the companies that run those services controls them. A report is a dated snapshot of the answers we collected at the time of the scan.

Paid products, billing and renewal

  • AI visibility report: $5, a one time payment. There is nothing to renew or cancel.
  • Monthly plans: Starter (Guided) at $199 a month, Done For You at $300 a month, and Growth at $500 a month.

Prices are in US dollars. Payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe's checkout pages, and Stripe handles your card details. Monthly plans are subscriptions that renew automatically and are billed each month until you cancel.

Cancelling and billing questions

You can cancel a monthly plan at any time, with no long term contract, using the link in your Stripe receipt or by emailing joshuaofisrael@gmail.com. Cancelling stops future monthly charges. For billing questions, or if you think you were charged in error, email joshuaofisrael@gmail.com. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable law.

Your account details and access keys

Please give us accurate business details, and only request scans for a business you own, work for, or are authorized to act for. Paid plans include an access key for the scan form. Keep it private, because anyone with your key and email can use your plan's scans. Free previews are limited to one per person.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the site or the scanner for anything unlawful, misleading, or harmful;
  • get around usage limits, for example by running repeated free previews under different names or emails;
  • send automated or bulk requests to the scanner, scrape the site, or try to interfere with or break its security or operation;
  • copy, resell, or redistribute the service, or share access keys outside your business;
  • submit information you do not have the right to share.

We may suspend or refuse service if these terms are broken.

Intellectual property

The NamedScan name and logo, the website, the scanner, and the design and content of our reports belong to Joshua Israel Ventures LLC. You may use the reports we deliver to you for your own business, including sharing them with your team and the people who help you with your marketing. You keep all rights in your own business information, and you give us permission to use it to provide the service. ChatGPT is a trademark of OpenAI. Other names and trademarks belong to their owners, and NamedScan is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI or any search engine.

Third party services

The service relies on third parties, including OpenAI, Stripe, Cloudflare and GitHub. We are not responsible for their services, outages, or changes, including changes in how AI assistants answer questions.

Disclaimer of warranties

The site, the free preview, reports and all services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Joshua Israel Ventures LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non infringement, and does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Joshua Israel Ventures LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, customers, or data, arising from your use of the site or the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site or the service is limited to the amount you paid us for NamedScan in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Michigan, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.

Referral partners are also bound by the terms on the partner program page.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and change the date above. Changes apply from the date they are posted and do not apply to payments made before then.
